    Hey folks.

Dilemma time and need your opinions.

Would one go for a 13 plate triple R with arrow exhaust, quickshifter and loads of extras with high mileage e.g. 13-15k mikes or a 14 plate triple r with no extras and only say 6k miles.

    £400ish of a difference.

Seems daft as obviously you could add extras to lower mileage bike BUT could get all extras thrown in at the start saving add expenditure...

    Hmmm...

Being of the old school would by the low mileage bike, quick shifter arrow can means thrashed. Add bits yourself or get dealer to do a parts deal.

14 plate is a no brainer, then after you have calmed down you can look for bargains to fit on it :) Also push for a better deal as in offer them £400 less for the 14 plate

    Cheers lads!

Yeah, the 14 plate is a no brainier.
Think my manhood over took my brain(as usual) and got slightly excited by the arrow can.
    Must restrain oneself...

Far better pipes/cans out there second hand for very little money, plus the more you look the better the idea you will have of just what you can do :) wise choice :)

I'd go for the lower mileage and add my own bits, more fun that way. However, it's sad that nowadays 13-15k is considered a high mileage.

Check if the 2013 has PVM wheels.
These lightweight forged babies are seriously expensive. Also the other extras alone will rack up a hefty bill.
15000 miles is nothing so not an issue.
    Go for the 2013.

Hi Calum just a quick observation - 13 to 15k mls is absolutely nothing !!!! Not high miles in the slightest. So long as they are properly looked after todays bikes are good for 100,000mls plus :D:D:rolleyes:

13 - 15k is nothing, hardly run in. Depends if you like the extras or not, would you buy them ? Don't pay the asking price. If they won't drop, walk away, they will ring you up just after Christmas. Failing that there are tons of bikes on the market, this is the best time of year to buy.

2013 r should have the PVM wheels, mines is an early 2014 model which must have been one of the last with PVM wheels,,should be able to get a good bargain at this time of year so haggle hard! what price is he asking for them?

    Cheers for the advice.
Quickshifter, arrow exhaust, heated grips which I would probably purchase at a later date.
But as someone else suggested could mean the bikes been thrashed?
May not still be available mind you as the price was £5499

that seems cheap for a 2013 R even if its a private sale?..are you sure it is an R? and the 2014 at under £6k seems cheap also for an R
Are you able to put the links for the bikes up here?

Heated grips are cheap enough if thats all you want. I still would strongly advise against paying the asking price. They ALWAYS have some slack in there. They are dead at this time of year. There are hundreds of those bikes for sale.
Offer £500 less and see what they come up with, then counter offer, then walk away if need be.

They both have arrow cans on them, and they both have extras ..have you put the correct links up as one as 15k miles and the other has 13k miles and they are both 2013?

yeah those were 2 2013's i had seen.

The 14 plates with lower mileage were coming in at £5,8 - £5,9 but with no extras just standard kit.
