Seeing as we are approaching the season of goodwill and we regularly go have a rant of a day, how about also putting up nice things that have happened to you or yours. Even if it just made you raise the tiniest of smiles, something you have done that you are proud of, found a pile of cash, someone you dislike has had a horrible accident, anything really that makes or made you happy today.

I'll start the ball rolling, just had a great weekend, Saturday out on the KTM doing a toy run, green lane on the way home, then Sunday at an archery competition and I won top rookie prize.
So unusually I am actually in a good mood on a Monday! :D

Had great news today. Wend bought a horse 18 months ago and has been trying to re-register it in her name. The process has been a real shit due to the previous owner, BUT today we found out that all the problems have been resolved so now I have a very happy bunny at home :):):):):):):):).

Went to Morrisons to get another bag of Wagg dog food as I bought 1 earlier, got it on offer at £8, bag was very slightly split as I pulled it out, no spillage, shop girl saw it and got it reduced by another £2!
Bought another 2 to bring the total to 4 spare bags in 'stock', my dogs shouldn't go hungry for another 8 weeks or so!
Went round to Asda to get our old boy his tinned food as the gummy old git has lost most of his teeth and struggles with dry food, found a 24 pack with a couple of dented cans, got that reduced from £7.50 to £5.........RESULT!!!
Saving money, now that always brings a smile to my face!:):):):):):):):):)

Haha, already retired early mate, not of my choice, learnt from my Mrs who worked in the supermarkets some years ago about the stuff that gets chucked out 'damaged', most of which is fine to use but cant sell as food for human consumption, pet foods are a different but often they will take an offer or reduce to save throwing it.
Often get bargains from other sources too, i.e a can (broken top) of Fab Sill off a market stall for a full 2 quid!

Poured with rain last couple of days during my commute, but I am happy as pie due to having stayed dry and warm.
The trousers from Halvarsonns and touring jacket from Triumph are keeping the wet out. This is the first time I have stayed properly dry in a downpour. My visor was treated with Rain-X and Antifog, and my glasses also were clear due to the Optifog wipe I use. So visibility was totally clear. Winter gloves with Gortex from Knox were top.

I was happy and safe overtaking cars at 80 (yes, on the motorway) while they were pulling over with their wipers going full speed, and with half an inch of surface water.

I was/am totally chuffed now - and feeling smug as I know the cagers would have been thinking "poor biker getting soaking wet" hahahahaha

To top it off, as I had treated the jacket and trousers with a spray of NikWax waterproof, the water just rolled off, so I could hang them up as soon as I got home rather than putting them in the kitchen to drip dry.

Aye, it's becuase of your recommendation (I beleive it was you) that I bought a pair.
    Feels very good quality.

I am waiting on the neck tube from Halvarssons to stop water dribling down my neck, but this is the last bit of kit I need for full protection.
