    Hello!

After owning a 400 Jap sports bike for nearly 5 years and finding myself pottering about on it like it's a John Deere, I realised sports bikes were no longer for me!
Thought I'd give it one last blast on a track day, and was cruising round bends casually at around half throttle enjoying the massive boring stretches of tarmac, lack of scenery and getting skinned by wannabe racers on S1000RR's.

Anyway, I'd been looking at tourers for a while, and this helped my decision, so I went home and decided I want a Tiger!
    So I purchased a 2002 955i and I love her.
Althought it's the earlier model before they changed it, it has a few of the newer mods, such as heated grips, center stand etc. And a gel seat to compensate instead of the new suspension I guess!
I originally wanted one with original Triumph hard luggage, but the Givi top box gives plenty of space, and got some Oxford soft throw overs which were cheap enough for the time being which all does the job.
She came with a full service history and 45k on the clock which I thought was alright.

    Sorry for the essay! :D

Sorry Phil was a bit busy, to give you a proper welcome to the forum, or the Triumph Asylum as it is often called.

What did you ride before? Are you new to tourers (and Triumph) like me?

Had a Bmw 1150 gsa , but thought I wanted a super moto and changed 5 months ago to Xt660x, and yesterday traded that for my first triumph 1050 tiger , we shall see, I'm half way though my iam advanced test and the xt is not the best hooligan bike for it

I've always fancied having a quick blast on a super moto.. But are they much good for anything else!?
They don't go off-road which is where I'd want to take it, and do they do comfy?? o_O
