As a rough guide The higher the octane the slower the burn, so you should run the lowest octane you can without the motor pinking under load Also fuel pumps have the ethanol content on them so you have the choice to look for 0 ethanol fuel.
Time for fuel in the morning. The lowest octane that's easily accessible for me is Tesco Unleaded or super unleaded.
Although i mostly use higher octane fuels i might just give some cheep lower octane fuel a go as modern motors like the ST3 only req 91 Ron fuels leaving me with a few extra pence to save
Thanks for the picture of the screen fitted, i haven't been able to find one. Ill be ordering one now. I just picked up my STR in September and i took the reflectors straight off of the Ohlins forks, looks nicer IMHO Im looking at these exhausts at the moment http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122048231057?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT No idea what there like though
How did you manage to get the reflectors off? Will be trying this weekend but dont want to cause a mess!
I just grabbed mine with my fingers and pulled them off, if not you can use a credit card and slide that down the back, it's only double sided tape and solvent removes any traces of glue
R-1000 has this pipe in carbon on his hopefully he can give some info, quality item by the look of it
I have heard of a good way to remove those pesky glued on reflectors. Use a nice piece of dental floss and 'saw' it off, use a suitable solvent to remove remaining sticky stuff
I used the dental floss method, no drama at all. I heard its better to remove them sooner than later due to 1. The glue is still soft 2. The gold finish will 'age' the same rather than the reflectors protecting any 'weathering' and removing them 6 months later may show some difference in the colouring (may)
GPR Lowboy is a good quality can. I have them without the baffles and they are throaty roar. On standstill n low RPMs not extremely loud but when you get those revs up above 6k ...it's a nice tune n car drivers usually step aside to let me pass ;-). pops like there is no tomorrow on the decel. It might have to do with my fuelling or could be Triumph character; -). All in all its a good can
