Very lucky to be swapping (and the rest...) my 2010 model for the new gorgeous R and looking to see if any members can comment on the mounting of my Kreiga US30 TAIL PACK. Totally different from my existing configuration and Kreiga haven't had any enquiry before mine so advised to check on the forums. They have a fixing kit for the ducati 899 so might take a punt on that but if anyone has knowledge already would appreciate. Pic from the dealer attached. Cheers, Pete

Hi PeteM welcome to the jungle. Like you I will be very interested in the answers as that was the tail pack I intended to get. On the plus side TODAY is the day I pick up my Speedy R, can't wait. I'm sure others will mention it.....please don't forget the pictures

Just put them under the pillion pad and connect together. I have the older design of straps, so they were originally designed just to fasten under and then clip the pillion pad down. Non of the fancy fastening to the tail supports.

If you just loop the two ends together, should do the job. That's the way I have always done it on sportsbikes. Your underseat looks familiar to my old K7 gixxer, that the way I did it.

Thanks for the reply. I would just be concerned at the stress being put on the locking pin but nothing counts for experience and if you are confident, then I'll give it a go. Cheers

I think I've got some of the old style one's that go under the seat.
You can have them and try then if you want to.

Cheers Roadarider. I've got the frame straps from existing pack, just the new speed has little to no frame to loop them round. I've got a few options to try when it's home with me so will try all. Thanks for your offer! :)

No problems using the locking pin on my sv or gixxer.
I made a rack up from an old seat cowl for the sv, did 1000's miles with it just held down by pillion seat fixings. Did silly speeds from Durness to John ogroats with full set up, never moved an inch.

This is how I strap my US10 & 20 down on my 2015 Speedy. I have covered approx 4000 miles like this with no adverse effects on the bodywork or seat. When not in use the straps can be tucked under the seat.
