I should have called her ROOFus, the dog on a hot tin roof. 20150421_154446.jpg 20140922_121608.jpg

I was working in a flat & the carpark slopes down. She must have jumped up on the wall (out of picture) then made her way onto that roof. She's a bit of a head case that dog.

    Thanks, she sure is.
Typical female though. Weird and unpredictable at times! Just turned 4 years old.

She is. Can't believe just how lazy greyhounds are.

When they're not running that is...;)

Unusual to see a greyhound with its legs on the floor. My 2 are usually on their backs legs in the air

    Here are mine:

Bogey (short for Bogart) is the Bernese, and Kuma (Japanese for "bear") is an Akita.

Of course they were both more photogenic as pups:

The legend I've heard is they were bred for hunting bear.

Based on the book I have, mounted Samurai Bowmen teased and killed dogs for sport, or organized dog fights. The industrial age brought about Akitas being trained and selectively bred for family protection. But again, this is just based on a cheap little book from 15 or so years ago :)

This is my lazy lot, had retired Greys for the last 25 years now, along with 2 borders, both sadly now gone, plus 1 Border cross very recently removed to the kennels in the sky, mad bastard!
gino 003.JPG Gino, raced as Horse Outside, after an Irish pop song, google it, its quite catchy but rude!
    Photo0043.jpg
This is Blue, raced at Henlow, now 10yrs, typical pose!
    Photo0022.jpg
Rebal, our oldest at 11, another ex-Henlow runner, spends more time on his back than his legs.

This is my special one, Incpot, (Inca Hero) was a 'Flapper' at Gretna, trialed at Thornton and tore a Grasilis muscle (rear calf muscle) and retired. This is the poor bugger that got attacked TWICE in 5 1/2 weeks!
He is my constant companion, shadow, and best mate.
I've had a torrid last 2 years, lost 2 to un-expected health complications, 1 to old age, 1 to renal failure, and recently 2 to turning nasty, 1st was a huge Grey that went out of control and attacked poor old Incpot, then the border cross Staff again that attacked Incpot and me!
No plans to take on any more, I have 4 steady dogs now, that's the way it will stay!

This was Trésor, the most honest, honorable chap you could ever hope to meet - passed away quietly this evening.

Everyone who met him, loved him.

He was the best friend a man could hope to have....................................................................
