nope, no tacho yet, still waiting, hopefully will arrive soon. got the LED's for the idiot lights, just trying to work out how to adapt and fit them! probably do this in one go once tacho and bits procured. The blanking cap is not a blanking cap at all, naughty David not telling the truth there !!! what is it then????
Thanks for that, look forward to getting in. Should just finish off, and may even cut down the glare a little! onwards and upwards.
Hi David Lawrence Jones of Wrexham I have just noticed that following a members question about your avatar picture - where he asked if the picture showing was of yourself !!! he was asking because of your behaviour towards other members, you it seems may have taken this as a threat !!! so you have it seems thought better of your greedy ways and removed it, Are you beginning to look back now and realise your remarks, sarcasm and GREED where completely unnecessary . ?? IS THIS YOU THEN - I removed your picture because it contained another person other than yourself, So having posted it I have removed it again After giving it some thought I realised - two wrong's dont make a right !!!
Dear David Lawrence Jones, It seems like you have managed to upset quite a few people on this forum with your selfish and money making behaviour. If you had been honest and up front from the beginning and fully explained what it was you were providing and how it was done, and also offered advice and guidance up front, I think you would have faired a lot better in this rather friendly little group of triumph owners, some of whom, I would like to think of as friends. If you wish to continue as part of the forum, I can only suggest that you share all of your knowledge and allow others to then decide what they are going to do, either still purchase from you, wait for my alternate solution from me or source and build themselves. So, share your knowledge on how to connect the two coil feeds together, how to power up pre'10' and maybe this group will start to see you in a more amicable light and over time forgive your peevish behaviour. Those that I have met, every one of them, are good guys. It would be a shame if you were forced out, as I can see is now happening. Tis up to you pal, hope you can make the right decision and maybe mend a few bridges in the happy little band of triumph riders, what we is (Even the BMW rider is nice guy!). Yours Sincerely Ron Orr
After this it would be better to just leave as I ( and others no doubt ) wouldn't be particularly keen on offering him any help etc. David it would have been better if you had just said you were selling them rather than the way you did
Mine has come today just have to finish rebuild now let me know if you get any joy fitting must say rev counter looks very good for the money
David Lawrence Jones, you have went about this the wrong way and you have come across as a very shady individual to say the least ,you should have been up front from the start and said you were a business, for the price you are charging you should include the tacho. Why don't you import the tachos yourself or buy from a wholesaler, if you did this you could sell the whole thing for a lot less than £15 and still make a very healthy profit.you really should have asked the forum administrators if you can sell on here in the first place, and if they agreed you should have made it clear you are a business and not pretend you are one of us.
It's a fair point you make but I don't think apart from the odd phrase or word this is anywhere near cyber bullying. May be for what is a normally quiet and friendly forum like this it's unusual. If you want some cyber bullying and dismissive but funny threads then you only need to head on over to the 'bike chat' forums. Been on there for a couple of years and boy your a brave person to enter that den at times. Lol It can get out of hand quick but in the main sarcasm dominates and curt replies are the norm and you get used to it. Plus I ride a cruiser so for some over there that makes me instantly gay, lol
Not to extend this but http://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=293497&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 If you want to see a witch hunt on a forum have a quick read of this, a guy posted thinking he would get sympathy for a bad experience in a bike shop. Boy he judged it wrong. I was a voice of moderation on that thread but to no avail and yes I think the op was in the wrong overall. This thread nah, David pitched it wrong and that's all, as for a tach I have one fitted, my thoughts with all this and I stand by my posts is that he went about it wrong, nothing more. Look at TTP products very popular but pieman is always on Triumph rat forums giving advice freely, that's the way to do it in my opinion.
Fully respect, its what makes forums fun and gets you thinking. Now if this was the 'bike chat' ' forums I would be obliged to add in quite a few f**k's and other expletives just to keep my street cred in check lol
Get a room, you pair of cockwombles!!! Thought I'd through in some gixxer forum type banter! Except cockwombles, would be swapped for something far more offensive
Bike Chat forum now there is a place that doesn't even bear thinking about. Haven't been on there for ages. They tend to take it to extremes in there. Certainly not anything like this place I hate to think what sort of reaction David would have got from them. As to hating David no , I think most of us just wish he had been honest about selling them in the first place. The reason I said that maybe he should think about leaving is because he imv has burned his bridges.
Well impressed with rev counter looking good not sure if work's lol let me know when kits ready I will buy one ordered spare rev counter at that price lol
what was the final outcome on this cos I've got the rev counter fitted but cant get the bloody thing wired up to work , and I guess the plug n play deal is out the window lol . I just wondered if anyone knew which colour goes where , I've got the light to work but wasn't too bothered about that tbh . I'm shit with electrics
