seriously considering upgrading the shock on my newly acquired 2010 speed triple after 26000 miles I think it's getting a little bit tired cost is a factor I was looking at a nitron R1 £550 then I came across a company called shock factory they do one called m shock £390 so a big difference in price. they look really well made so my question is has anyone actually had one and what are your thoughts or would I be better spending the extra on a more reputable brand like nitron.

Why don't you see if MCT can rebuild your original shock for you.

I had my forks and rear shock rebuilt by MCT. Made a huge difference in ride quality. But not all shocks are worth rebuilding. When I asked him about doing the same for my Street Triple, he said not to bother as it was not worth it.

The Shock Factory seem to be getting good reviews when compared with Hagon, YSS and similar companies.
They are a French based company and one of the English sales outlets is Winding Roads, the price at £390 is very competitive.
I have been looking at a replacement shock for my 400 but I am looking for a shorter shock. I have no first hand experience of these Shocks and would also be interested to hear anyone's first hand experience of the M - Shock.

I put a Shock Factory M-Shock 1 on my 2013 Tiger Explorer 1200 about 18,000 miles ago. I bought from BikeRevival and they asked a few questions about weight and type of riding when I ordered it. Initially found it a little soft, so adjusted it with the C-Spanner provided. We often ride two-up, fully loaded, at pace. No complaints, it seems to work very well, and the quality looked top notch from what I could tell.

Hi Bob1, I put a M Shock on my Yam Tracer 700 to replace the original shock which was terrible. I too was looking at Nitron and also HyperPro but they were considerably more expensive for similar spec. I looked into M Shock and found that it is run by an English guy that lives in France who has a background in motor sport having raced bikes, sidecars and cars in his time so gained knowledge of suspension set up over those years. He then worked for a suspension company before deciding to set up his own business. I am happy with my M Shock, I have done over 5000 miles on it with no complaints and can vouch for the quality being good. They are built to your specific requirements and come with a nominal setting based on what you have told them, I have tried other settings from what they set it at but have always gone back to the factory setting so they must have got it right in my case. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

A little late, but wanted to share my experience of the M-Shock.
Replaced the one on the Tiger Sport '17 plate with one after the original adjuster seized up.
M-Shocked fitted for over a year now, excellent! Better than the original for both solo and 2 up riding. Travelled through France with no issues.
Personal service as mentioned by Thunder 900, a 'ready to go' shock. No adjustment needed other than a quick turn with the 'C' spanner supplied, and 4 clicks on the rebound for pillion and luggage.
Best of all, its' cheaper at less than half the price of a 'stealer' replacement.
