Bloody good for you. I could only choose one reaction, so based on your opening statement I went for the laughing icon

 

Thanks Dawsy. But the Speed Triple 1050 RS was still my all time best bike by a country mile. But my body is no longer compatible with the Speedie. Looking forward to my new ride though.

No problem, it is running fantastic, can't believe the change for the better, the Euro Emissions are causing huge problems, thank's to Woolwich Racing who developed the MAP, they are still trying to crack the latest model ECU, they are hopeful they will do so very soon. You can easily bypass everything on the new machines, but this involves a new ECU, wiring loom, dash and a bit more, the issue is the cost, you are looking around £4,000 for these alone, really only for turning the bike to a full on race machine, then with everything else you are looking around the £70,000 to £80,000, deep pockets indeed for a race bike. But for the money and road riding I am over the moon with mine now, thankfully I can do the work myself.

 

Another ride out yesterday with my youngest son on his Katana, we set off from my house, and headed to Milnthorpe and on through Lyth Valley, headed to the ferry from Bowness to Hawkshead, stopped for a drink at a lovely place that rents lodges, then had a ride around the Hawkshead countryside, we then headed to Coniston and a re fuel, then onto Greenodd, from there onto Flookburgh, a new bike night had been advertised so we went to check it out, it is on a working farm, run by an ex racer, so he knows bikes and bikers needs. After something to eat a a chat to the owner and other bikers we set off back home, arriving at 6.30pm.

 

A few more photos, the sign in the first picture gave me a smile.

I had a bit of trouble with my 400, and there seem to be a few others having various glitches, so better to see that sorted out before going down that major downsize route...... although if you get a good 'un, it's a good 'un!!
