Running in my speed triple so I'm just going for rides with no real destination. I start the app and the ride fine but when I return and press stop it gives the ride a name but when I press save it says it can't save it then loses the data. Do I need to be near the bike? Have the bike still turned on? I turn the bike off in the garage come in the house take my lid off then try to save the data. Do I need to do all the phone stuff before turning the bike off...?
Have tried numerous permutations at the end of the ride to get the app to record my free ride but it always says "invalid free ride". (I'm hoping that's not a judgement on my riding abilities). Everything else works perfectly....
I have exactly the same problem with the app asking if I want to save my free ride, which when I try to do do, it tells me it is invalid. I also have to open the app to reconnect to the bike every time I stop, despite the app supposedly running in the background. Having converted from BMW's excellent "connected ride" app, I find "My Triumph" really poor. Love my Tiger 1200 GT Pro but detest the connectivity.
Blood annoying that it doesn't work. And the developer won't answer my review and give a step by step method of how to get it working. Sticking with the Yamaha myride app. Works effortlessly in recording ride route, distance covered. Acceleration and deceleration rates, max top speed and lean angles.
I visited my "friendly Triumph dealer" a couple of weeks ago and asked about the app. He said not to bother using it as it was more trouble than it was worth! He seemed amazed someone had actually managed to get it connected in the first place! There is an app called Relive which will record unplanned journeys and can be used without subscription.
The developer will tell you it's self documenting as a nice lazy way of not having to create any user guides. It's not even on GitHub so I can't work out what it's actually trying to do... When you say you're using the Yamaha app, do you get all of that info from your phone when you're not riding a Yamaha and linked to the bike?
With the Yamaha app ( I think it's a rebrand of old pirelli app ) you add some info but any bike it's not linked to the bike. Just open the app and start ride. Put phone in your pocket or wherever and just ride. When you finish open the app select finished and it asks to name the ride and save. You can save it as a public ride were others can see your ride if they are followers ( not into look at me vertical friends)
