Hi, I’m clay. Just bought my first triumph. It’s a 2002 Daytona 955i.
I have a question that I’m hoping someone who knows more than me can answer. On the way home from buying the bike I was hearing turbo noises and when I got home and checked, I found a aero charger turbo on the bike!

I don’t know much about these so my questions are:
Is this a good kit or will it blow up my bike?
Does this raise the value of the bike and if so how much? The guy said it was professionally installed
How much hp should the bike be pushing now?
Is there any maintenance I should be doing to the turbo?

thank you so much! Glad to be part of the forum!

Hi Clay, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you're gonna be on a steep learning curve mate. Take it easy on the bike till you get used to the turbo, & that won't happen overnight. As for extra value, it all depends if you were to sell it & find a buyer wanting a turbo'd 955 then you could expect more cash than a non turbo'd one. But in most cases no, not much. Because mods are personal & what one person values is not necessarily what another values. Basically the personal mods folk do are not done with the intention of raising the bikes value, they're done because that's what they want in the bike. Mods are basically lost money when it comes time to sell it, as standard bike in great condition is often more sought after than one that'd been farkled to hell - so the new owner can mod it his way . . . Crazy but yeah.

All I can add is make sure you keep the oil clean and change regularly, turbos can be fussy, warm the engine fully before giving it the beans.

@Clayton Nafziger Welcome to the family. Turbo well if its something you want its great if not possibly pass the bike on to someone who wants that sort of thing and buy again. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show it of to the members.

Hi and welcome, post a picture of the turbo that would help, although you never install a turbo without making other modifications to the engine internals, the standard engine internals would not cope with the extra boost.
