Thank you, I've already put a good few on these past couple of years. It's a brilliant bike. Especially since I thought I was just sort of scratching an itch and wouldn't maybe have it for that long.........as soon as I rode it I was in love with it and it's not going anywhere :p.

Congrats Mrs Visor! That really is a beautiful bike and you’ve done some wonderful work to it. Love all the pictures, especially the one with you aboard your blade! I forgot the decal you put on your rear fender. That’s awesome!

Thank you. This was me on board the 2024 Fireblade SP (CBR1000RR-R) and I have to say, I prefer mine. Which is lucky, seeing as the new one is extremely costly . IMG-20240630-WA0003.jpeg IMG-20240630-WA0001.jpeg

Although I do have to admit to enjoying a decent turn of speed from time to time I am happy to ride slowly, fast and anywhere in between. As long as I am riding and in good company the speed matters not to me @joe mc donald. I would be honoured to ride with you if ever our paths should cross!

Today I am not at work, so I rode 133 miles on my new bike…I went to the Baffle Haus, Crossgates and then to see friends (rough route below). So far I LOVE it.

What I have learned so far:

    1. NO low speed manners at all in sport mode.
    2. Whatever you think a control does, it is likely to do the opposite (tilt the pass switch forwards for full beam anyone?).
    3. If you don’t cancel your indicators pressing the button just once, very briefly, and do not cancel and then re apply when changing directions such as on roundabouts you start to change modes and settings on the fly.
    4. If you actually WANT to change a setting rather than to do it accidentally, it requires the most counter - intuitive way possible to achieve it.
    5. It loves twisty roads and is going to be a lot of FUN.

A huge congrats on your new Ducati, @Mrs Visor! How exciting! And it sounds like there are a LOT of exciting new things about the bike other than only that it's new and beautiful and fun to ride. ;):joy: I feel like I'm a better ride for having three very different bikes as it keeps me on my toes. And now you have three bikes! :grinning: You know what "they" say: "Three's a charm". Can't wait to see more photos of you and your bike and read more ride reports and some reviews of that gorgeous new machine. Way to go!!! "They" also say: "Life's short; buy the damn bike." :) Good on you for going for it.

Off to see ZZ Top in May .. son and his lady have shouted me, flight up North, the lot ... I have a thought that then I will be asked when his Bonnie engine will be finished ? :grinning:
Mates over from Canada, and 4 of us that rode and partied and other things in the 70's had a 'few' beers out on one of the others farm (great bar) ! Being a nice, warm day, I only wore a shirt and tried out a new light jacket ... hahaha !
10:30pm, better head off... into the cool, very cool, night, clown !!! Frozen, with white hands that hardly worked when arrived home .... second time lately I've forgotten the Bonnies got a good set of handlebar warmers !:sob::sob::sob:

Raximo adjustable levers fitted on the Hyperstrada today - so much easier for me than the stock ones, which were a huge stretch, especially the clutch as it did not have any adjustment at all!

I donned my thermals, waited for the temperature to climb to the dizzy heights of 3c and went to Shobdon and back for a coffee on my new ride…only done 300 miles on it so far since I got it on 01st February in very cold and gloomy weather, but it’s shaping up to be a huge amount of fun :).

Glad you're enjoying that beautiful new bike, @Mrs Visor! Do you have any heated gear? I have a heated vest and I love it. Keeping my torso warm(er) helps immensely. And yeah, that number plate is HUGE! :(

The other plate's still fairly big as it's a legal size; UK number plates are not subtle things!!

I have a cheap heated gilet from Amazon but actually don't need it with all my Knox layers on. I had a ski thermal, armoured jacket, down jacket and windstopper jacket on, plus a windproof balaclava which I tucked into my upper jacket collar and was toasty. On the bottom I had my thermal leggings and bike trousers.

This is a photograph that someone captured of me on my ride:

Ok, so today I've only gone and bought/ collected a camel

    :joy::joy::joy:

    20250215_132926.jpg

Naturally it's straight into the workshop before I've even ridden it, to ensure it's prepped to my standard and exactly how I want it. Lots of goodies to fit and tinker with, remapped ecu, Hp Corse silencer and link pipe etc.

Cat on left, new straight through on the right.

    20250215_180138.jpg

Link and silencer gives another 7 bhp and saves a few kilos

Cheers @Helmut Visor I will

Bizarrely I'm in no rush, I want it right.
