I put the same 2 pieces on my 22 street twin, I left that top arm off, its well made and seems fine with just the two bottom bolts, and easier to take off to clean

It is like it was he past when you own a Peugeot. At those cars you needed some fingers with more finger joints to do some mechanical stuff.

 

The problem with a close fitting sump guard on the W/C twins is that it stops the flow of cooling air to the cat which results in it becoming exceptionally hot.
This causes a lot of heat soak into the motor making it run hot. It's even worse in warm weather, especially in traffic etc.
It's ok if you have an X-pipe fitted but otherwise it's a bad idea to fit one even if it does look nice.

 

Is it really a problem? After all Triumph offer one as an accessory which should have been thoroughly tested?

 

I bought the Triumph sump guard for my T120 Bonne and there are some differences to the EvoT but both are good quality stuffs:
1. The front of the Triumph guard does not go up as high as the EvoT thus permitting air flow.
2. There are four 1 1/4 inch diameter vent holes on the upper front of the Triumph guard for air flow.
3. The Triumph guard is held in place by 4 allen bolts to predrilled fixing holes on the frame BUT the guard goes rearward long enough to cover the oil drain plug. To change the oil, I remove 3 of the bolts and swivel the guard out of the way. The oil filter is not covered. It looks like the EvoT does not go that far rearward to cover the drain plug and oil filter.

 

To the OP, I noticed you have a front fender extension; can you say where you got it??
