Yeah, looks ok! How do ya figure they'll run cooler?

 

Its like using exhaust wrap, more heat is "pushed" along and out of the pipe rather than escaping through it.

 

Had a look at their site, 40 years been doing it & lifetime guarantee on the process. Bit far away for me to use though.

That coating looks great, @Eric Inboden! So does your whole bike actually. Thanks for posting pics. Please let us know what you think of the coating when you get some miles on them.

 

Yes that does look better. The heat shields stand out as a noce accent now, rather than being just another layer of clutter. I want to fit a decat system to mine with unristricted headers. I'm waiting to see what Paul Bryant comes up with. Looking at that, unless I buy titanium pipes, I'll probably get them cercoted.

 

Not entirely sure about that as the radiative loss on the dark mat coloured surface will be greater than the OE shiny silver. Exhaust wrap, on the other hand, despite its fugly appearance, will give a higher gas temp when it reaches the can and therefore have a higher volume which may assist in scavenging and thereby filling the combustion chamber with fuel/air more fully, depending on the valve overlap.
