Nice power gains!! How do you find the Rocket 3 R? I'm interested in one but it seems it is a "heavy" machine?? Will you recommend the R 3?? Regards!
I'm 5'6", 64 yrs. old and have no problems handling this bike. I have also owned some very fast heavy sport bikes (2017,2013 Kawasaki ZX14R's). So I'm use to big powerful motorcycles. All the struggles you will have will be manually moving it around your garage. Once your up running, it's a dream! And I have no problems at slow speeds and cornering. So, Yes, I do recommend this bike. I thinks it's one of the best motorcycles I have ever owned.
Thanks! I ride a Speed Twin 1200 and a "tuned" KTM Super Duke R 1300. The KTM is a fantastic bike with a excellent power to weight ratio. I'm planning to trade the Speed Twin for a Rocket 3 R (not interested in the GT though!) I'm 6'4 and 71 .... bucket list is getting shorter!! Regards!
I'd agree with you Eric about being heavy to move around in the shed - if you're beside it. If you sit on it to move it it's a breeze. For the record I'm 6'5" (in old money) 195cm in new & 65 years old. Maybe my height & significant personal mass give me an advantage in moving it about?
The biggest and heaviest bike I've owned - a Boss Hoss 8.2 liter Corvette V8 ... 502 Big Block Chev engine. But it had a reverse gear!!
