I want to change the bars on 2015 thruxton for wider bars. I have already turned them over and the height is good but want to go for a wider bar. As it stands the wiring to switchgear will only go another inch so does anyone know if Bonneville switchgear comes with longer wiring ?

Hi Swampy, watching this post as I have just picked up a 2014 and feel the bars are a bit low.... is there a way of telling if the bars have been reversed already?

Hi, yours look like the standard low fitting. If you turn them over the grips are angled slightly upwards rather than downwards when the front wheel is pointing straight forward.

I swapped mine with the t100 bars. You need to change the cables etc though

I thought there was something different about the foot pegs.
This is how mine is looking this summer

i have a 2017 Thruxton 1200 R and wouldn't mind either getting taller risers or swapping out the risers for a bar that is taller and closer to the rider. i've a bit of a belly and don't want to throw out my back on a ride because of the reach.

    suggestions/ideas very welcome.

    thanks

Hi Ingognito, I too am considering the footpeg change, been trying to get prices from fleabay  not sure I can even see all of the parts required. Do you have any photos showing what I need, im assuming I need a gear lever etc as well as the hangers?
