Yes, there were some other guests. Like @Sandi T saw I loved meeting Bodie the Jack Russel / miniature Fox Terrier

Started out with heated gear on this morning because it was 28 degrees but the typical Georgia "blue skies and sunny" weather took over so HH and I didn't need it for the second half of the day.

This morning was our annual Salvation Army Toys for Tots ride, ending with a chili lunch. Some of you may know I'm not great at remembering to take pictures so I feel pretty good I got one! Spot the lone Triumph (mine) in the lot!

And then when I got home, my son was showing me videos of skateboarding tricks he's working on. I commented to him with a note of concern that those looked like tricks that might result in broken bones and such. His response? "MOM!! YOU just got off a motorcycle!" My handsome husband just shrugged and said I should have seen that coming:p. In my defense, I did note that I keep my wheels on the ground:)

I wish this thread was called "What you been doing with your TRIUMPH lately" instead of "today". Oh well......

This past Saturday (not today), I took my Speed Triple RS out for a little solo ride on a perfect afternoon in the desert. And I mean perfect! Check out the weather...

    IMG_4587.PNG

My Speed Triple now comes out for a ride from the backyard rather than the garage. So it's sitting in the driveway already aimed the right way. Small silver linings. :joy::joy::joy:

    IMG_4579.jpeg

I took this picture at the entrance to Catalina State Park. Those mountains are part of the Catalina Mountain Range north of Tucson.

    IMG_4581.jpeg

I dropped by our local Harley dealership to say hello to the folks I know who work there. The service manager is a great guy who rides a Triumph Tiger. :)

    IMG_4585.jpeg

Just a little 69 miles but a very nice afternoon indeed!

    IMG_4588.jpeg

Steve is still moving my bike around to get it ready for a ride. It comes back from the street to the concrete pavers and into the back yard through the front yard. I'll watch him a few more times and then when winter break starts in a week, I'll put on my big girl pants and give it a go myself. From watching Steve, the part that seems the most difficult to navigate is backing the bike down the ramp and through the gate on a trajectory that keeps the bike--and our feet--on the ground. Ahh, I just need to suck it up and do it! :joy::joy::joy: That said, thank you, Steve.

Speedy, back to what has been his new outdoor home since Steve's H-D Fat Boy usurped his position in the garage.

And with his "coat" on. This Nelson-Rigg cover has been needed in the days since this rideout because overnight temps have dropped into the 30ºsF!

Speedy's next trip out will be this coming Friday for an annual service at our local Triumph dealership. :)

Love the pic at Catalina State Park, @Sandi T! Looks like that was a great solo ride; long enough to enjoy the peace of a beautiful ride with perfect weather.

As far as the title of the thread, I sure hope no one is taking it quite that literal (and if so and I've offended, I'm sorry) but I don't see any offense in posting later.

That's pretty neat that you have worked out a way to "house" all of your and Steve's bikes, even if not ideal. Glad Steve is able to help you with the bike parking dance. Don't be so hard on yourself about getting it in and out; you are apprehensive because you recognize the challenges (and possibly your limitations) and are rightly protective of your awesome bike.

@Sandi T that was indeed perfect weather!!.

I was on nights last night so went out this afternoon....however the weather went so cold, dark, drizzly and generally horrid that I ended up stopping for coffee about half way to my destination and coming back home o_O.

I made it to the Baffle Haus today…only four bikes there…mostly cars. Nice ride out, even if the roads are a bit of a state o_O. Only about 70 miles done, but good for the soul, still.

Having bought myself an Insta 360 X4 the only way I could think of mounting it, didn’t want any of those clamp thingies on the bars, was to use one of my suction mounts on the nacelle which worked well but it wouldn’t capture any side views.

So as I have swopped the lollipop mirrors for bar end mirrors but still use the OE mirrors on the bar end mounts I have a brace of mirror stalks kicking their heels. The left one has been refitted with a small bracket on the end to take the camera.

Will let you know how this works out when the bikes go back on the road next year.

    Yesterday, actually.

Cleaned and lubed the chain (PITA!), then out for a fifteen-mile loop to work the lube in. 40-ish degrees. Cool running. Put her up and hooked the battery tender on till the next day above 40.

Spent the last week enclosing my screened-in patio with removable, double paned plexiglass that I built frames for. I made them so I can remove them in the spring. I bought an electric heater that looks like a little wood stove. Now I have a new four-season room and am enjoying a bourbon old fashioned while its 28 degrees out and my patio is 65 degrees.

    Life is good.

Finally got a couple of hours spare time so put the last remaining bits back on my bike. It looks a lot better in my view with all the Cerakoted parts, the headers run cooler, just have to wait for some more spare time for a ride out.

Those headers look really tidy. Do you expect them to discolour in anyway?
