Hi, My 2013 Bonneville SE has about 20k miles on it and I was wondering if it was worth dropping the swingarm and re-greasing etc over winter? All fine when riding but think the maintenance schedule recommends doing so evry 10 years?

    Cheers

It's probably not really necessary but it must be worthwhile to ensure that there is a decent amount of grease on the bearings. I have just taken the swinging arm out of the 1972 Honda I am rebuilding and found that the bearings were in excellent condition with plenty of grease, but then again the swinging arm bolt is hollow with a grease nipple on each end. The old ways are sometimes the best!

It is definitely worth doing, they are not greased enough at the factory when new, you should have seen the state of my STRS bearings and only 4 years old.
