Disappearing Threads

Isn't it a fact that most wars have been caused by either politics or religion?
I have been in this forum longer than most . I'm not a prolific poster but I read the posts every day and respond as and when I want to.
Wayne has done an amazing job keeping this forum going after the mayhem of a few years back, it got shitty for a while and tbh I stopped looking at a certain section in here. Some members left the forum and started another one, and around last year, another ex member started one too, which I joined as well as being in here, I had a joke pulled from there as it didn't meet their standards but it was shown in here, there is censorship in that forumtoo. I have no interest in politics, my vote is personal to me, if others want to talk about that subject, fine, but surely we are all into our bikes, with a bit of banter and fun thrown in, and the guys n gals in here who post regularly are so friendly, reading their posts keeps me sane(I think) and its great to be a part of the group.

There was two ways to deal with whoever complained about my legitimate post reference President Trump's election.

1) Ok, your complaint is duly noted. However, there are 1000's of other threads on here to choose from. I suggest you don't look at the President Trump one. If you don't like it, be an adult. Don't read the comments & definitely don't reply. As you know that can cause arguments.

2) Ok, I'll remove it even though those interacting with the thread far out number those complaining about it. There are people that disagree, but they aren't demanding that the entire thread is removed.

Number one requires leadership qualities & a tiny amount of balls.

Number two gives you an easy life. But that's ok because I reckon @joe mc donald will still hail you as a hero

There's very little point in discussing the matter further. And as I said previously, I don't want the thread to be reposted.
But reference your comment about my post not being Triumph bike related.
You're absolutely correct, it wasn't. But it was in the off topic lounge section.
Just like the post you've decided to 'Pin' at the top of the lounge section about your love life.
I guess that's because you get to make the rules though?

That's the very first joke on page one. I assume that what would these days be classed as racism is ok on here? Even though, most of us are of an age where what you posted is just a joke. But if that doesn't break any forum rules? Then why did my thread need to be removed? Unless it was just to give you an easy life?

I'm not deliberately trying to embarrass you or piss you off. Even though I may have just done both?
But I do find hypocrisy & laziness annoying.

Thanks for offering me the opportunity to have my say on the matter. I trust that this reply won't be deleted. Or cause the deletion of this entire thread started by @MightyBoosh? As that really would be totalitarian.
