I have a new-to-me 2001 Bonneville and am just doing my Canadian winterization after about 600 summer km. The Haynes Manual and a couple You Tube posts have indicated that I need to remove the fuel tank to change the plugs. Really? (sorry - this should probably go in the Technical Forum but can't figure out how to delete it)
No i have never had to remove the tank when i had my Bonnie. I removed those excess fuel or what ever they are called and adapted a plug spanner to slide on the plug then used a ring spanner to remove the plugs.
