I'd been looking for a good, low mileage, original Honda Firestorm VTR1000 for a few months, and found one, a 2001 bike with just 9k on the clock, for sale at Nightingales in Rugby. Their website is https://www.ngales.com/about-us/

When I 'phoned them and spoke to Gavin in sales I was pleasantly surprised when he agreed to take the Legend TT I'd been trying to sell for several months in P/X, and gave me a very fair price for the bike. I found Nightingales a very easy company to deal with, they arranged transport for the Firestorm up to me in Scotland and the Legend back down to them in Rugby, all at a reasonable price, and gave a 6 months warranty on the Firestorm. I'd certainly recommend them and deal with them again if they had something I particularly wanted.

A friend of mine who's originally from Southam has nothing but good things to say about Nightingales. He started to use them after a recommendation from his Dad.
So they must have been in business for a lot of years? :)

According to their website, the company was founded in 1972 by John Nightingale and is still a family-run business. The guy I dealt with recently, Gavin Nightingale, who was very helpful, is one of the founder's sons. With so many dealerships going into liquidation recently it's good to see an independent, family-run firm still operating and providing excellent service.

I'm a numpty when it comes to anything mechanical or electrical, so for several years now I've been taking my bikes to REBZ, a local, independent workshop in Tweedbank, near Galashiels in the Scottish Borders. Excellent service, very knowledgeable about just any make of bike you can name from the UK, Europe, Japan or the USA, and at prices that are more reasonable than the big franchise dealers with their posh showrooms. Again, with so many big dealerships folding, it's good to see a friendly, local workshop continuing to thrive. Support your local, independent dealer or workshop whenever you can and help them to stay in business.
