Anyone using Dealertool on their 2024 model year classic Triumph, Scrambler, T100/130, Street/Speed Twin etc and if so, does it reset the service indicator?
I already had the software and cable from the Street Scramblers so purchased the new 16 to 6 pin adapter, a new ECU key and updated the software after they released the new tweaked version. They were "pretty sure" it would reset the service indicator on my 1200 as they had tried it on the new Scrambler models but they couldn't guarantee that it would, Well it doesn't and stops communication with the ECU when a reset is tried.
They are surmising that some of the first 2024 bikes came out with the older service reset protocol but it was changed sometime during production to the new setup which is more secure. Most other functions work OK but it's a bit disappointing as a DIY service reset is a key function of it's appeal. In hindsight I probably wouldn't have bought it but hopefully they will release a software update in the not too distant future which enables the feature.

I just leave the spanner there on the display. You soon learn to ignore it. Just take a note of the mileage when the next service is due.
