Back in the Springtime, I 'gave' my Street Triple RS to my son on a bank of Dad basis (if Carlsberg did bike loans, that sort of thing). Well fast forward to a week ago and I 'borrowed' the bike back for a few days and realising what I had let go I've just put a deposit on a Bright Red very low mileage '24 plate model (pics to follow). Bloody ebay, costs me a fortune! Lol.
@johne Well its not just me and my boys then. Yes do let us all know how you get on with the new purchase.
Sounds a familiar story! I think the bank of mum and dad must have many branches! Not forgetting the bank of Grandad as well!!
The new (to me) RS was dropped off this morning, I was impressed with the performance, it appears to do everything well, which to be honest my old '17 plate RS did, but this seems even more planted. After a 40 odd mile initial ride that bloody awful number plate holder had to go, so I spent the remainder of the afternoon fitting a replacement. I just noticed, do you think I like the colour Red? Car, Bike, Garage doors! Lol New and not so new.
I took the opportunity to get out on the STRS this morning as its been sunny and bright in these parts, however there is a lot of mud and dirt on the local roads as it is a rural area and the farmers have to attend to their land. Therefore the bucket and sponge were called into action when I got back. The jury is out at the moment as to whether I'll Sorn it at the end of the month. Its always tempting to keep the tax in place in case a bright day comes along in winter, but I suppose you could always re-tax on line at any time? Sorry for our non UK members, they are probably wondering what the hell I'm talking about, its the vagaries of the UK vehicle road tax system that we have. Lol
