My Thruxton FE arrived at my dealer this week, and I should take possession of it next Friday if the weather is good.

What is your thoughts on your FE? I’m going to pick mine up week after next. Any thoughts, tips, advice?

I think overall it's a fantastic bike but far from perfect for me.
The suspension is very good, the brakes are very good, but what really stands out for me is the engine. Wow, the sound, the vibration, it really pulls quite a bit, very pleasant.
I knew it before buying it, but this bike is not very comfortable, sometimes after 20 minutes I can't feel my hands anymore. If you only ride at low speed it becomes hell pretty quickly. At higher speed the wind pushes you backwards and lightens the weight on your hands making the ride more enjoyable. Also, if you only ride at low speed the machine gives off quite a bit of heat. Now where I'm really disappointed with this bike and Triumph, well it's everything else. They put a great engine, good brakes and amazing suspension but everything else seems really cheap to me. The paint on the black plastics scratches just by looking at it, the black wheels same thing. What about the mirrors, I had to change one because I scratched it while cleaning it delicately. The two instrument dials are also very fragile.
The plastic controls also look very cheap.
In short, I am disappointed with this for the price paid.
But when I ride with this Thruxton, I forget all these little inconveniences and I have a big smile on my face under my visor.

To overcome some of the wrist pain, try getting some foam grip to slide over the grips, it has helped me.
I replaced the mirrors with an alternative triumph design they are far more robust let me know if u would like the part number.

Heres the bar end mirrors i have.

Thank you for the honest and illuminating review. I have a 2023 Bonneville T120 and I have seen several of these things on mine but not the black paint scratching as I have matching painted fenders, I also know about the heat but I hear that getting rid of the catalytic converter can help with that. I have learned to use my core to keep my body upright on my T120 but the Thruxton is a bit more of a lean over the tank, so I may find that uncomfortable too. I still want to get it because of what it is, it's sexy and I can't wait to ride some curves at speed around here on it!! My other choice would be the newly announced Speed Twin with all the RS components. Very thruxton-like but.... not a Thruxton!
    Thanks again and happy riding!

I have already installed Grip Puppies, it helps a lot but it doesn't solve everything. Yes, I would like to know what mirrors you have installed. Thank you.

There is never anything perfect in life.
    I also have a Honda Cb1000R Black Edition 2021.
    It is not perfect either.
The tft screen scratches very easily, to the point where I installed a protective film.
The fuel tank is really difficult to maintain and scratches just by cleaning it, the fault of a water-based clear coat.
The Thruxton is a magnificent motorcycle and the few flaws that I mentioned should not prevent you from getting this motorcycle.

Ride the bloody thing instead of posing on it around town.

The deal is almost done. Money is all in order, the bike is off the market at the dealer and hopefully next tuesday I’ll go pick it up. 4 hour drive and it might rain… ugh. I will be trailering it home though.

They look like the perfect match for the genuine triumph led indicators, albeit i bought the larger indicators.

Picked it up yesterday in Kansas City. After a windy 4 hour drive home, I trailered it, I took it out for a proper spin. Love it!

What a beaut! Saw one in the dealership last time I was in and thought it was very special.
