At a ripe old age and with quite a few years riding under my belt I have just bought my first Triumph, a new Tiger Sport 660. I live in Staffordshire. My bike comes with panniers and heated grips. Any thoughts about useful after markets bits and bobs please. Both mudguards seem short so I’m thinking about fender extenders? Are engine bars or crash mushrooms worth considering? What about hand guards and belly pans? All recommendations gratefully received. What shouldn’t I waste my money on? This is going to be a long term bike hopefully so keen to keep it in good nick. Thanks in anticipation
Hi and welcome to the forum . Fender extenders, rad guard, hand guards and lower engine bars a must IMHO
@StevieT Yes all the bits you mentioned are good to have on the bike so it doesn't get scuffs on it. My 660 I had all of that and engine covers. Welcome to the family by the way. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right and let us all see the bike.
In addition to the Triumph OE options I also favour the Evotech kit. Whilst not a Tiger it is a triple you will see my Striple with engine bars, belly pan, rad guard and axle bobbins. The first two are Triumph and the second two are Evotech. But the first thing you need to get rid of is that abomination that sticks out the back of your bike. You need a tail tidy. Here is the Evotech tail tidy. I have seen posts regarding the OE engine covers staining, so some research needed mefinks.
