Apologies if this is a glaringly easy thing to find - alas, my searching of part pages on Fowlersparts, plus a million Google and ebay searches, have netted me nothing. I'm trying to find the name/ID of the black plastic cowl/hood, that sits above the LCD dash, and attaches to the nose cone with two bolts... I fit a screen to my bike yesterday, and found that a previous keeper had completely rounded off one of the bolts, and though I tried numerous methods to get it out - I decided to simply snap it out and buy another one. That turned out to be a bad idea, as in doing so, I also snapped the metal mount for the nose/clocks oops. I'm fairly sure I can repair the snapped bits, the nose still has 2 bolts holding it in place, and it and the new screen are both nice and study and certainly stood up to a few hours test ride. But the cowl/cover thing is bent out of shape from being beasted out, so I would like to source a replacement. Oh, and even with the rounded bolt and snapped bit in my hand, it was a right mother to undo! Had to use some penetrant spray and vice grips to undo it holding the thread - no idea why it was so tight as it wasn't thread locked, nor did it have any corrosion (I put copper grease on the others)
Sorry, I should have been clear - it's similar to that part, but for a 2018 bike with a TFT dash. My mistake, sorry
It might be number 7 in that image.... the picture makes it hard to make out, hence why I didn't spot it before, as the metal bracket that sits behind the dash could also be the number 7 shown. Gives me another jump off point though, many thanks
