Happy to join, thanks. I am an artist and designer and retired professor of design living in New England, USA. I have just over 1000mi on my just purchased new 2023 Thruxton Chrome Edition. I traded in a Ducati Supersport 950 because of too many issues (oil leak, seat latch not working, amongst others) having ridden it from new for only 1500mi. The Thurxton compares to the Ducati in spec and riding position quite closely, but so far has proven better engineered and assembled. I have been riding off and on for over 40 years (pause during kids early years) beginning in the 70's on a Yamaha RD350 2 stroke I had in college. Since then I have had a Hondas- VFR750, VTR1000, Moto Guzzi V7, Ducati Supersport and now my keeper, the Thruxton. I am going to mount a "dolphin" fairing this winter to complete the bike. IMO, the Thruxton is the perfect combination of classic style and contemporary features and spec... and the most enjoyable street bike I have ridden. Cheers.
