Hi, I’ve got a brand new T100. On 5th ride out today got home to find deposits hard fast on exhaust pipes. Seems like tar? Any clues what they are and what can be done? Thanks

Jonathan. Welcome to the family. Yes looks pretty much like tar from road surfacing. I myself use solvol autosol and fine polishing wire wool rubbing the same way as the lines on the pipe. But people have many different ways to help and i am sure they will all let you know soon

Hi Joe, thanks for reaching out,
I was a bit concerned about whether it would be 'hard baked on' from the heat of the pipe & if removable what to use so as not to damage the exhaust finish. I will use a powerful bike cleaner and some elbow grease:grinning:
