What Type Of Castrol Oil Do The Factory Put In The Water Cooled Bonneville Twins

10w/40 fully synthetic

 

I have a 2023 Bonne T120; would be interested in knowing what type of oil comes in the crankcase.

 

Sorry. Given you're talking about a four year old bike l don't see why you're interested in running in oil. Forgive me if this constitutes a guess, but l always use Silkolene semi synth Super 4 10W/40. Got one bike over 100k, gives good gearchanging, currently using it in my Bonneville.
Triumph oil? Just rebadged from whoever is giving them the best deal. They've "recommended" a variety of oils over the years

 

But why does it put image in twice? And then won't delete?

 

From new Triumph motorcycles used to come filled with Castrol Power 1 10w40 full synthetic.
They now come with Triumph's own branded 10w40 full synthetic which is supplied by Castrol, it's the same oil.
Straight 30 mineral oil went out with side valve engines!!
Running in oil is of no use for modern ultra close tolerance engines, it could even be harmful.

 

And the reason is.......please elucidate.
