Not sleeping but Im getting a ZZzzzzzzzzzz noise when I use the front brake? Its a Thruxton 900, just bought it so dont know if it has always done this.

Single floating disc, caliper slide pins are free, pads are original Nissan and good life left, cleaned the retaining pin, was slightly grubby / corroded but no difference?

Bike is a 2014 but has only done 3k miles, think that was the first time the brake has been removed.....

Hi Gavj, that noise could well be just the sound your brake makes as the pads slide over the vent holes. If the disc is true, the brakes work and there’s no scraping sound it should be fine.

Don't worry my 2012 has been doing that since I got it and I've had it almost 10 years, it still stops!

The floating disc's if has the centre floating bobbins you need to get something and spin them every so often to clean out the dust and debris and use some brake cleaner when spinning. My ones i used to put a little smear of oil around the bobbins the wipe them of.
