Just had my renewal from a well known bike insurance provider. I nearly fell over with price increase. Anyway, not going to advertise the old provider, or new, but went on MCN insurance quote and nearly fell over again, with how much cheaper. Over a £100 less, with all necessary ancillaries in place. Worth a look.
They all try it on! Greenflag, my breakdown insurance privider, ramped up my premium by £25 this year. I phoned them, pointed out nothing has changed and abracadabra they matched last years premium. £25 is £25, certainly worth the phone call.
Insurance renewal premium on wifes car has just come through. She's been on a 3 yeat fixed deal so we were expecting the worst. Its actually over 10% cheaper. I nearly fell over. So, dont believe everything you hear that the media push down your throats about prices jumping 40%
I'm a confused dot com user - check every year for the car and the bike, and if the renewal has jumped up too much I go with the lowest mainstream name off confused.
All these compare sites aren't the same. I've found comparetherodent.com to bring up the cheapest prices. Confused.com wouldn't even quote me. Our home insurance is due in 2 weeks and the renewal has come through with a 50% increase. The compare site has brought up the same policy for £78 less.
I noticed that Asda is now doing bike insurance, may just be a link to compare the etc etc but worth a look? https://money.asda.com/insurance/motorbike-insurance/
I’ve mentioned this on other threads about bike insurance but I’ll tell the tale again in case any of you missed it Having done all the comparrison websites you will come up with a quote that is repeated time and again. If you then go to the TopCashback website they have their own comparison tool which will give you a very similar result to all the websites you have just trawled. But you also get the cashback reward once the cancellation period has expired. My latest example for my Ducati. The usual websites and the TopCashback one all came up with Swinton at £89. With my cash back reward of £26 I have a net cost of £62.
