Help!!! Went to fire bike up after the winter and nothing...... Battery is good.. I replaced the starter solenoid just in case and still doesnt work. I am getting power across the starter button as verified with a meter and if i put alligator clip on negative terminal of battery and attach another lead from positive post to small clip on top of starter solenoid she fires right up!! The bike is in neutral and the kickstand is up... What else can it be at this point? I also checked all fuses.....I just wanna ride....Bike is a 2004 t-100 carbed...

Have you checked the side stand switch, and the kill switch?

Welcome to the Family. Yes as stated by @Samsgrandad check all those switches Clutch side stand. And look for good clean connections and fully functioning battery and switchgear and chaffed wires around the headstock and switch. Keep us informed on the progress. Joe

I noticed that the headlight wasn't shutting off when pushing start button and after muddling through the schematics I discovered that a bad headlight cutout relay could be the issue as that relay is what sends power to coil on starter solenoid..11 dollars later and she fired right up!! Rewarding to figure it out myself...thanks all for the suggestions!!!

And now today..went to start bike and nothing..bought another relay and nothing..I can here the relay clicking so that isn't the problem as the new one allows the same click...I had already replaced the solenoid but maybe that's it again? What the hell?

I drove it all day but stopped for a sec and left key on...thought that was problem but jumping didn't solve it..ended up shorting across solenoid with a screwdriver but I can't keep doing that..
