Tiger 1200 Starting Problems

Hi all have joined up hoping someone out there can help or maybe tell me about their experience.
Went to start bike and head off for a ride but alas bike was completely dead, not even enough juice to even unlock steering lock, checked battery, this was fine 14.1v so all good. Checked fuses in little box just behind battery. 5amp blown, (Instrument & Elec Steering Lock (ESL)) changed fuse but kept blowing, Finally got local dealer to collect bike. Spoke to them today hoping it was just the starting switch as I’ve heard this can be an issue. Spoke to dealer today Dealer suggesting it’s the instrument panel (digital dash) and very expensive Does this make sense ? Has anyone had this happen to them or heard of anyone having a similar problem? Can anyone help !!!!!
