I have owned Japanese bike since the 70's and the Street Triple is my first Triumph.
I road raced Honda, Kawasaki, and Norton in the,70's and had an AMA expert license, did a few club and AMA Superbike races.
I now have a CB 1100 (nostalgia), and the Street Triple. The Street Triple is the best yet, combines power, handling, and light weight. The electronics are not important to me, and the dash display is too complicated for a guy who has a hard time with a smart phone.

Welcome Emile! That's quite a pedigree of motorcycle riding! I only started riding with my 2011 Sprint GT at age 56 (5-1/2 years ago), and have graduated to a Trophy SE for the wind protection on longer rides. No many peg scrapes in my past (or hopefully, future!). I appreciate the agility of the sport bikes, though. My Sprint GT is a sport bike compared to the Trophy, although they are both Sport Tourers. Enjoy the new ride. Those of us in NJ will have to wait until the high temps get out of the teens to ride! o_O
