Tues. Going to look at a 1978 Bonnyville. Hasn't run in Many years but always in a building. Asking 2500. Canadian. I would expect to spend another 2500. Am I dreaming that I can get road worthy for that amount.
    I think it's a T140. Guy says it's a 750. Does that make sense/

Sounds like a T140 if it's a 750. Big bore kits were/are available for earlier 650 T120 engines but the price would point at a standard T140.
It's not easy to estimate the cost of getting it back on the road until you can have a look at it.
If it's not in bits in boxes, not mostly rust, it can be kicked over (ie not seized) then sounds a good price although I'm not up on prices in Canadia. A quick check on ebay or craigs whatsit should tell you where that should be.

It'll always be worth 2500. :) Just buy it.
You'll need to get to the sludge trap if you want to keep and ride it. It's not going to be a bit of T-cut sort of bike. A bag of spanners willl be required.

That's a sludge trap in the crank of my last T140 build that needed a bit of a clean
