Comfort Seat Vs King/queen

If you like the look of the stock seat why not have an auto upholsterer scoop some foam and replace it with a gel pad under the cover? I've had two bikes converted this way, my T100 being one of them, and both went from 100 miles max to all day comfy. Costs much less than a replacement seat, the look of the bike is unchanged, and you don't have a second/unused seat cluttering your garage or the hassle of selling it on eBay.

 

My 2 cents: got the comfort seat for my T120 and it is a tad softer; not like riding on a plank. Really like the white piping around the top edge and the embroidered Triumph logo on the back of the seat - nice touches.

 

A few nights ago, saw that Cleveland Triumph had a Comfort seat on their website.
Checked again today, 10/31, still there.

 

That's cool, maybe mine will be here soon also. Fingers crossed.

Triumph dealer sent me a text today, seat is in! Now I just gotta find time to get there and pick it up. It's a holliday week here in the states, Thanksgiving. The dealer is also closed on Mondays so that's out. I just need a short day at work to go pick it up.
Just in time to put the bike up for the winter, lol.

 

My seat came in and I picked it up tonight after work. Ordered it the end of September and it came in the end of November. It's a nice seat, the price was $335 us, worth the wait. Imo.
I love a big box that says Triumph on it!

And here it is, feels nice in the hand. Hopefully I can get it installed and sit on it and take a pic this weekend.

I like that the Triumph name is stitched on and not just stenciled on.

It's comfortable to sit on but I'll have to wait until next riding season to test it. It's gotten quite cold here and I don't like riding in the cold anymore, lol. It doest take away from the classic look that I like about the bike.
I have treated the fuel for its winter slumber and she's plugged into the battery tender. I'll anxiously be awaiting the spring weather to test this seat out. But right now initial input is that I like it, feels better just sitting on the bike parked. 300 mile ride will tell the tale.

 

Definitely looks better with the king and queen seat, at least to my mind.

 

What do you use to treat the fuel in your bike?

 

I use either Startron or Stabil, used Stabil this time around.

 

Thanks. I've used Startron but have heard mixed reviews, although it can't do any harm.

 

I think Startron is better with alcohol in fuel, but I think Stabil has gotten better with that over the years.

 

Been using Stabil the last 20 years in my motors; even in gas tanks that have sat for 4 years (of course, in those, I added more Stabil each year); no varnish in the carbs yet. Sometimes, I have drained the carbs and filled them with Stabil. Maybe, I've been lucky.

 

Well I got out on the bike for the first ride of the season, short ride of only 40 miles but boy did it feel good. So my initial impressions of the king and queen seat is that it is far better than the stock seat. It also feels narrower at the front and makes it easier to put your feet down, not that it was hard anyway. But definitely more comfortable than the stock seat. I like it. Hundred mile rides and greater will be the next test. There's a ride I do that's over 250 miles and that will be a good test.
