My 2014 T100 has just 1400 miles and had been running just fine. Now when I push the start button it sounds like the starter engages briefly then disengages. If I hold the button down, it will engage, disengage, pause for a second then engage/disengage again, etc.. After I go through this 5 or six times it may engage for a couple of engine revolutions then disengage. Eventually it engaged long enough to start the motor. It has a brand new battery at 100% charge.

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions would be great. Many thanks in advance.

Does the starter motor spin without engaging the flywheel?

The starter motor doesn't spin up independently, it was only turning over when engaged with the flywheel. I replaced the relay and it all seems good now.

    Thanks.

Glad you got sorted. Welcome to the family. Do hit the upload a file button and let the inmates see the steed. Joe

Where was the relay? My 2014 Bonneville is doing the same thing.
