Hi all, I'm a newbie hear and would like to introduce myself as Namron, to the forum.
after owning various bikes, a Kettle, CB750, Lc350, Speed Twin T120. I now ride a Tiger 800 XRX probabley the best bike I've ever had the pleasure to ride.

I'm now retired and to keep me occupied when not riding I've gone and bought a 1970 Triumph Bonneville.
A nice bike, not concourse but nice, and something to do and keep me off the streets on these dark nights - so to speak.
And that leads me to a question. As I've said a1970 model or so the seller claims. The engine and frame numbers are a match at beeing: T120-CD448xx. Was told that Triumph changed their dating system and the
"C" is for the month i.e. March and the "D" is for the year 1970. Can anyone confirm that this is correct or not!

    Thanks
    Namron.

Thanks Joe. An old resturation but engine looks fine when you look inside the inlet and exhaust ports at the valve stems. Looks brand new, and probably are.

It still needs a bit of money spending on her, she will get it over the coming winter months and she get what she needs. Infact I've already started! she'll keep me busy, and off the streets :).

    Regards Joe Mate.

Hi Namron, welcome to this forum. We are so excited you have joined our team!

You shared the picture, your bike looks so old. You should change your motorcycle and buy a new model design motorcycle.

Had a 20-plate speed twin T120 from new, prefer the Tiger.
As for the 1970 Bonneville, can't beat the old ones :)

The only trouble is. The more birthdays you have - the less you have to look forward to.
