I'm looking at getting the new 765R and I need to be able to carry some luggage (D lock, basic tools, puncture repair kit, visor wipes, waterproof trousers, etc).

On my Tiger 660 I have the panniers that will hold 57 litres. I don't need that much storage on the new bike, around half of that would be ample.

Am I better going with a big tail pack, or tank bag, or panniers, or a combination, and from who. The Triumph luggage seems both small and expensive.

A Bagster tank bag would do this, see other thread.

I have a Givi tailpack / tank bag that is sufficient for the commute (use it as a tailpack on both the Street Triple and Fireblade). I leave the seat lock on the bike and then it takes seconds to fit and remove the pack https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/mo...u1uzeCrF_N5llc2xpyLv5XoSD_5p1E_YaAn0HEALw_wcB

If I want to carry much more I have a bigger Oxford tailpack (bit of a faff to fit onto the Striple) and this summer bought these which are great and can fitted without a rack / rails https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/281847

Sorry, I can't find another thread. Do you have a link to it?

None that are much good I am afraid; they're pretty easy to fit and then secure with bungees. Took a bit of adjustment at first as the Street Triple's tail is so short but once you've found the ideal positioning it's easy. They have plastic inserts to make them rigid.

The tailpack is also surprisingly roomy - it is expandable (not expanded fully on that photo). Would likely carry what you need from your description.

    Here you go @Chris Moody

    https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/bagster-tank-cover.39629/#post-626178

Being expandable it can do the odd day out, bottle of water, jumper for later etc.
Plus expanded it makes a nice rest for your chest on a motorway run and carries quite a bit of stuff once opened up.
I was once at the top of Isle of lewis. Camped up and dumped the tankbag contents into the tent to create an empty carrier. Nipped to the localish spar/petrol station/supermarket/post office/ newsagents with 5 minutes to closing time.
A quick dash with everything shoved in my helmet as a basket.
Checkout operator was a bit amused and said where you going to put this lot....... no problem ;):joy:

I’m a Tiger 900 GT Pro owner Chris & highly recommended the Kriega range of motorcycle luggage options. Fully waterproof with easy securing. There are various sizes of waterproof bag, I have a 30lt & 20Lt which can be combined together with the Kriega securing system,

Thanks Ian, I'll investigate that option.

It's a wonder you haven't seen it about as we're only a few miles apart.
