    Hi all,
Older 1050 engines have this issue. The clutch sticks while hot, down shift is difficult, etc... etc.
I've seen a lot of things about on forums. The solution came from a thread where someone (thanks to him) ordered a used clutch kit and noticed the pin lifter difference, but as the whole clutch has been replaced there was a doubt.
I compared all the parts and the only difference is that lifter. That's the guilty one.
The design issue (yes that’s how it should be called) of the clutch has been addressed and fixed by the part T1171234

The difference on the new part are some slots to allow oil to circulate along the pin and oil/cool the clutch.

That applies to all first 1050 (Speed Triple, Tiger, ST) apart the GT that had that new lifter from first model.
I can't tell exactly the years concerned. But if you have a sticky clutch, despite new oil, discs, snake oil addition, then this is the solution. :)

    Odd issue.

I have the GT, and my issue is that, if I wind up the revs early in a ride (i.e. starting up a steep hill 2-up, as I must to leave my neighborhood), the bike resists shifting up at all. The solution is to apply pressure to the shifter while releasing the clutch lever. It shifts right at the last moment, and will eventually resolve itself as the engine warms. I haven't found any firm solution for this, although one chap suggested reducing one of the clutch plates to a slightly thinner one.

    Any wisdom to share here?

Looks like a clutch itself issue. In your case I would try to find some steel plates that are not completely slick, and keep some oil (see picture below). Or maybe your clutch is just getting old and need some new discs?
