Hello! Just registered... I'm enjoying my first Triumph, a 2005 Tiger 955i (alloy wheels version)... great bike.
I like to do some offroad with it, so I'd like to have shorter gearing. I already have 17/48 instead of 18/46 but would like to make it shorter... the rear sprocket is the same of the 2003 GSX1000R, so I could find something bigger as it's used for stunting but at that point I'd need a very long chain... so it would be better to get a smaller front. Unfortunately can't really find a Z16 or 15 for the 955. The front sprocket has the same design of the one for the 2003 Yamaha R1, but the Triumph one is slimmer (8.8mm) against 10.8... would it ruin the sprocket alignment? Also the locking spanner barely fits. Any advice? Thanx!

    Hi and welcome…..

  7. Welcome to the club ! . . . . Be a little careful as the engine sprocket is already very small & the chain will hate you for having to travel around such a small diameter . Better to go up a tooth ( or more ) on the rear wheel sprocket .
