"Hello" to everyone from Washington State in the US! I am in my 60s, used to ride during college in the 70s, Yamaha Enduro and Honda CB300 of that era. Had not climbed back on any bike since then until I bought a 2022 Kawasaki Z400 ABS for my teenage son. The moment I "demo" to him how to ride, all the fond memories and the feel of freedom came right back to me. Eventually we both went to the same riding class and get ourselves the "endorsement" (i.e. license) to ride. Sooner than I would like, he upgraded to a ZX-6R, and occasionally I took the Z400 for a spin... I always wanted a Triumph and have never seriously shop around nor test drove one. Until last week my son's classmate went to the Dealership to test drive a 2024 Street Triple R, while they were there they spotted a used 2016 Street Triple R with just ~4500 miles on the clock... they rang me up and urged me to test drive it, and I did. Well, all I can say was "wow!" The next thing I know, a 2016 Street Triple R went home with me on that same day. I kicked myself that I did not pursue one sooner, but late is still better than never! That's a shortish intro about me. I love this bike, I love this site! Ride safe!
Greetings, @Wagon, and welcome to the forum. Thanks for that nice introduction. I hail from Arizona. I loved reading about how you got back into riding and how you wound up with your Street Triple R. We'd love to see a photo or two of it. There are a ton of folks on this forum who have--and love--Street Triples! Hope you enjoy this fine community.
Thanks for the welcome everyone! I will take some pictures of the New-To-Me shortly, and post them up.
Wagon Welcome to the family. You are still a youngster. Do try to send a picture of the steed for us all to ogle. Joe.
