Thruxton 1200 s (no fairing ) just acquired it was cheap and bit neglected atm 53k milage (engine sounds sweet though ) looks like its been through few winters . But have problem with headlight , when purchased dip beam wasn't working (suspected bulb) thought nothing of it ,just been franticly cleaning her up ,looks quite smart now . Finally got round to replacing headlight bulb , strangely neither main or dip work now ! , headlight fuse ok , got feed to fuse as well , daylight LED,s work plus when you turn off Daylight led the main beam warning light illuminates (can hear main dip relay click when operating dip sw ) . Metered headlight bulb connector nothing even when going back to batt earth " anyone had this problem "

Hi, I recently had a hedlight problem on my 865 Thruxton. No Main or Dipped Headlight, sidelight rearlight etc all working normally. Fuse ok. went to Haynes manual and checked possible causes, ended up as dirty contacts on the starter relay. Honestly I would never have checked that without the manual. Anyway a good clean with electrical contact cleaner and now all ok. Might be worth a try?

Hi thanks for helpful reply have sorted problem now it was wires in loom back of head light shell broken (not very flexible wires ) . I was going with your train of thought the starter relay ended checking all relays lights go through , downloaded workshop manual and wiring diagram is scary 3 relays before it reaches bulb
