Out for a bimble on the Thruxton, called at J&S on my way home, it was busy as usual for a fine afternoon.
Called for a pint at my local and then got caught in a thunderstorm from the pub to home :) lol

Looks like an adventure, @Dartplayer! That "lunch stop" looks more like a beer stop. ;):joy: How did your ankle do???

Commute for the Street Triple today, there was a lot of heavy rain during the morning whilst I was in work and the poor bike looked a bit dejected sat getting a soaking in the car park whilst I was dry inside!

Thanks @Sandi T, surprisingly for a small rural town the meals are outstanding in size and quality. The region is well known for seafood, especially oysters.
The boys were very happy and full for the wet ride over the ranges to where we were staying.
Ankle was tender and so I used every opportunity to lean on the highway bars to take pressure off the boots on Saturday Sunday was slot less pain and it is improving daily.:p
I think my decision to stop all pain meds was correct for such a challenging ride, but it did get a work over.

A wash and final prep ready for my maiden voyage (mot) Friday.
Unbelievably I bought this last September and so far haven't ridden it half a mile but hopefully we can soon rectify that

It does sound well with baffle less V&H and no cat.

Thanks sounds like a terrific place, @Dartplayer. I'm certain that if another just like it landed near Tucson it would be on our "regulars" list. I'm glad that your ankle is improving daily and it sounds like you figured out how to do the weekend ride in spite of it still being sore. Smart move on being off the pain meds but I'm sure it made for a more painful weekend. Hope your ankle continues to improve each day!

If the bike rides as well as it looks, you'll certainly be a happy camper, @Eldon! Love those V&H pipes. And the rest of the bike, too!

Is that the Churchill Arms in Alderholt by any chance? Used to pop over to their bike nights when I lived in Winchester

At Tenerife again and got bored laying on playa so booked a Trident from a rental company. But the Trident was on service so took a Macbor Montana XRS instead. Never heard of it before but it is Spanish brand from Barcelona using Hondas 500cc twin and Nissin brakes, assembled in China. Surprisingly good bike for €6999:- new. Not "exceptional" in anything but good enough for every day transportation. The riding was wonderful, roads at Teide volcano are just spectacular.

I have a day’s leave today so I went out for a lovely half day or so on the Street Triple. I decided to venture into the Cotswolds, so my first stop was in Chipping Campden at Koti Autotalli for a coffee - got a lovely friendly greeting from the few people who were there, which is always nice! They had a very sparkly and much modified Triumph there today.

After that I decided to try The Woodshed at Eastnor Castle which was lovely to sit in the sun at and drink my coffee at, although the gravel car park was the stuff nightmares are made of :cold_sweat:. Finally, I called in at Dom's near Leominster on the way home. Pretty nice little trip out and just a few drops of rain along the way :).
