hello all, I have been riding since I was about 12 years old started with a 250 X6 Hustler and graduated to a 1974 Triumph trident which I rode in all sorts of weather and conditions for over 12 years then a BMW R80 then my wife got me a 1973 totally rebuilt Bonnie 750 had to sell it because of medical reasons. last year I purchased a 2010 Triumph America, i went out west with it and put 10k miles on it, this year I also went out west to the black hills and also a CMA rally in Watertown S.D. (I am a CMA member) I put on over 2200 miles this trip and made it back in 2 days, 420 the first day and 587 the second. the bike is awesome and bullet proof. why on earth did they stop making the America? I don't get it. I am 67 years old and will ride as long as the good lord lets me. I will be checking in here and there, this is my work email, I don't have a computer at home. safe riding all!
Welcome from a fellow yank in Joisey. When I bought my Speedmaster they had a low mileage America on the floor, but I decided to go with a new bike. If they were still making the America (or the T-Bird) I may well have gone with one of them.
Thanks for all your welcoming, I don't know how my profile said I was a female, I guess I just set it up wrong. I was born a male and last I looked I still was! No offence to the women out there but thank God. LOL!!
