hi all,first post for me so be kind.i have owned my 1970 t120 since 1978.gave her a full refurb last year.since then i have been plagued by an intermittent misfire for some time now.having tried everything else decided to remove the Boyer electronic ignition and go back to points.did this and after a few hiccups got her running nice.but the boyer rev limiter no longer works.sent it back to Boyers for testing as its under warranty .they charged me £25 to test it and sent it back saying there was nothing wrong with it.refitted it and guess what,still dosent work .its wired in as Boyers instructions for a positive earth bike.rang Boyers today but they were not very interested but i spoke to one of their technical staff and he agreed i had it wired up right but when i asked them for a replacement was advised to send it back to them to be tested again. if any kind soul have any ideas i would be most gratefull,cheers greasemonkey.[have tried to post apic of the instructions but it wont let me
hi all,just an update on this,after a wasting more time messing with this rev limiter,Boyers still maintaining that the bikes wiring was at fault .it coudnt be the unit,it had been tested,i had had enough so sod the warranty, i cut my way into the rev limiter with a dremel .its a bit of a job as it is resin filled,got the brass adjusting screw out and it fell into two bits.thats why it would not adjust.i found a helpful chap at Northampton motorsport and they sold me an Omax rev limiter delivered next day which i had fitted and working in half an hour,problem solved,cheers greasemonkey
