Learned to ride in October 2020 during the pandemic. Had it real bad and needed to ride. There were very few bikes in stock, but the local Triumph, KTM, Motor Guzzi dealer had plenty of bikes. Lusted after a Moto Guzzi V7, but just did not feel right and dealer was steering me to Street Twin. Street Twin felt much smaller, less of a reach to handlebars and a better first bike even though a higher price. Fast forward 2.5 years of riding, Triumph Street Twin has over 6,000 miles, and put over 4,000 miles on a used 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (SX). Use the Triumph as a commuter bike and for the back, twisty roads, and the Ninja 1000 for longer rides, interstates, and to quench the occasional need for power wheelies and acceleration. List of current mods, Ikon 7610 rear shocks, Ikon front progressive springs, TEC bike parts luggage rack, SW Motec Legend tank bag, tail bag, and mirror extensions. Currently riding on Continental Road Attack 3 tires. If I did not have the second bike, I would have traded up to a Speed Twin 1200 as the Street Twin is a bit cramped at 5’10”.
