Hello for Washington State! I'm currently riding my (counting fingers) 5th Triumph, a 2015 Bonneville T100, and loving it for scooting around town and discovering the twisty roads in my area. Up until now, I've been riding ADV bikes (Tiger 800XC and a DRZ400) and before that it was all about the sportbikes (Speed Triple, Daytona 675, Daytona 600). This is my first "standard" in decades, and its great fun! However, it has an aftermarket/custom full exhaust which makes my ears bleed. So I'm looking for a stock exhaust system if anyone has one laying around. Until then, I am looking forward to getting to know like-minded Triumph riders in my area, and to hearing stories from around the world! Cheers! Keri
Welcome, I'm sure with a little patient and careful research eBay could be your friend for a stock exhaust system. Carry on enjoying your bike and in the mean time use earplugs?
Thank you! Thank you for the welcome! And yes, I'm keeping an eye on Ebay. I do wear earplugs, but I lost one of my custom earplugs a few years ago and have been using the orange foam ones. I'll be posting a query for favorite earplugs soon!
Welcome from a fellow Yank on the opposite coast. New exhaust - $400 to $600 Ear plugs - $2.99 at Rite Aid Loud pipes save lives.
Welcome. I wouldn't rule out all aftermarket pipes, I had a set of Long Vickers style pipes together with a de-baffled, double entry airbox on my 2010 T100 and they gave a lovely growl when accelerating but were not offensive around town or on a steady throttle. On the other hand the Arrows muffler on my Tiger 800 iwas offensive with the baffle removed but way too quiet with it in place, tweaking the baffle gave the right balance. This is a link to the pipes I had https://www.feked.com/hinckley-triumph-bonneville-premium-vickers-silencers-complete-kit.html Another option is to fit a stinger to your mufflers, this could take the edge off the sound, it could also be tweaked to give the sound you want.
