Hi, I live on the Isle of Wight and have owned my bike from new, it still looks like new! However increasing age (only71!) and needing to care for grandchildren led to bike standing and because I didn’t drain carbs thoroughly, a complete mess in carbs. Pilot screws broke off and a local mechanic got them out but left a larger hole in the carb, so I got 2nd hand replacements from a trophy. Now I am using the undamaged bodies to rebuild carbs. But I have become confused as to what jets, needles, piston valve vents are the correct ones for my bike. There seem to be 2 needles listed at Fowlers for different carb numbers, one costs about £7 the other over £20! and also not sure if the slide should have no holes or 2 holes in addition to the needle hole.

sorry for the long intro, but hoping that someone can steer me in the right direction, as the children are now at school and I would love to cruise the Island this summer

Not sure if you do Facebook but if you do search for T300 group, you’ll want Paul Barnett or Paul Messenger for carbs and parts pointers.

Hi. I can't offer you anything more than a welcome. I'm so mechanically challenged the local tool stores lock the doors when they see me coming.
