Hi All, I'm having problems fitting the right hand slip on of a pair of Weslake Shortie Pros to my 2022 Thruxton RS. The LH one goes on easy...the right one on the other hand..... The angle seems to be to shallow and puts the pipe hard up against the swing arm on the RHS. Any suggestions....? Cheers, K
Kyle, mine fitted easily with no issues, it’s possible that there is a manufacturing issue with yours? here are some photos, do yours look the same?
Thanks for the replies.....the issue is the angle of the pipe/slip on being insufficient to clear the swing arm. Its like the pipe or slip on need more 'bend' in them. Whether that is a manufacturing issue or one intrinsic with the 2022 Thruxton...I'm not sure. Bugger.....cos they look great.
If you take the silencer to a fabrication shop it would be simple enough for them to alter the angle, even if the had to take a slice out of it and re-weld, I had similar done on an oil tank outlet on a special I was building, he took a slice (think peach slices) out of one side of the pipe, bent it to close up the gap and welded it.
